siroroは、北海道・旭川の街で、家具のデザイン、企画・設計を中心に、暮らしにかかわる製品をデザインするスタジオです。北海道の中央にそびえたち、ゆたかな自然にはぐくまれた大雪山系のふもとの街、旭川。旭川では毎冬、緑から紅にうつろい変わる山々や大地、青や赤のトタン屋根の家々をつつみ込みむように、まっしろな雪が降り積もり、まっさらで飾りのない、まっしろな街に生まれ変わります。
【siroro（シロロ）】は、【sir （シリ）＝様子】と【 oro（オロ）＝ ～の中、所】を表すアイヌ語の組み合わせです。
まっしろな雪のように、モノやカタチ、固定概念にとらわれることなく、日々の暮 らしをより面白く、楽しくするために、ひと味添える道具や空間を生みだしていくことを心がけてます。

1979年生まれ 京都府出身。大阪芸術大学デザイン学科インダストリアルデザインコース卒業後、旭川家具メーカーに入社とともに北海道・旭川に移住。
インハウスデザイナーとして、自社オリジナルの家具製品の開発やOEM特注家具、キッチンキャビネットの設計などを手掛けた後に退職。イタリアと日本を拠点に世界的に活躍するプロダクトデザイナーに師事し、家具デザイン担当として、中国広東省順徳区の事務所に赴任、アシスタントデザイナーとして、中国の家具メーカーのオリジナル製品のデザインと開発に携わり経験を積む。
2013年、旭川をベースに家具のデザインや企画・設計を中心に、暮らしにかかわる製品をデザインする、シロロデザインスタジオを立ち上げ今に至る。
siroro is a design studio for the products related to your living in Asahikawa city, Hokkaido, mainly planning and designing furniture.
Asahikawa is the city at the foot of Mt.Taisetsu where is rich in nature and towering in the center of Hokkaido.
White snow lays into Asahikawa city in every winter as if covering the land that turns green to deep red from season to season, and a row of houses with zinc roof colored by blue or red. And then the varicolored scenery transforms entirely plain and white.
We are thinking about to produce the tool and the space that makes your daily life more unique, by being unfixed to a stereotypical idea, a object or a shape like ever-changing white snow.
